TUC Advice for Economic Downturn

15 January 2009

The Trades Union Congress (TUC) has released two new publications offering advice for workers during the economic downturn.

The first guide, 'Facing Redundancy', is part of the 'Know Your Rights' series, designed to help workers to understand where they stand in the face of difficult economic circumstances and the potential consequences.

The second guide, 'Coping with the Economic Downturn', compiled with help from the Citizens Advice Bureau, contains practical information, advice and pointers to further resources on issues like redundancy, employer rights, how to make sure the right benefits are being claimed, consumer advice, dealing with debt and support for finding a new job and planning a new career path.

I hope these publications are useful for anyone having difficulties as part of the ongoing economic problems.
