New Priorities:
*Young people congregating and causing ASB in
park area at rear of derelict Meeting House and Bond Street
* Young people congregating and causing ASB
Warren Road @ Hazelwell Road
Previous Priorities:
*Young people causing anti-social behaviour/
football in street/ drinking alcohol in street in the evenings in Newlands Road.
A
letter has been sent to residents in the affected area of Newlands Road. PCSOs have
completed extra patrols. No further incidents have been reported.
* Vehicles parking obstructing the pavement
and drivers view of junctions Hazelwell
Crescent/Millhaven Avenue and Millhaven Avenue/ Hazelwell Fordrough.
PCSOs
have advised two drivers and issued one fixed penalty ticket. Enquiries are being made
with a company to identify driver / keeper of a van regularly parked on one corner.
* Over zealousness of council parking
enforcement officers who issued FP tickets to residents parked on Bournville Lane on Bank Holiday
Monday.
Councillor
Huxtable has written to the council department concerned.
* Vehicles travelling the wrong way up Elm
Tree Road (ongoing issue)
PCSO
Stor has spoken to staff at SELCO and advised them of the penalties they may face if
witnessed by an officer committing an offence. The team will continue to pay attention
when available.
* Speeding in Lewis Road Fri and Sat evenings
A
speed survey has been requested. If
this shows a trend for high speeds the location will be included as a community speedwatch
location.
* Overgrown hedge Cartland Road @ Vicarage
Road
Roy Dawson has reported that the landlords of
this property have taken this up with their tenants. Roy will ensure this is progressed.
Other Updates
Charlotte Road
Following
concerns raised by residents and retailers a number of children and their parents have
been spoken to at home or at school about playing on the car parks of Wickes and other
retail premises in Charlotte Road, low level graffiti and running into residents gardens.
Cannabis factory Fordhouse Lane
The
owner /occupier of the house in Fordhouse Lane who was arrested late 2008 following the
recovery of a large amount of cannabis plants was recently sentenced to 12 months
imprisonment. He has also received a very large bill from the electricity company.
