Pasted below are the notes of the Kings Heath Police Neighbourhood Tasking Meeting of
24 September 2008.

Kings
Heath:
New Priorities:
1. Anti social behaviour of small children allowed out after
dark in Kings Road, Kings Heath
2. Litter and recycling boxes not being collected / emptied in
Kings Road / Partons Road area
3. Speeding on Alcester Road South between Howard Road and
Wheelers Lane
Previous Priorities:
1. Lack of black bin liners in Linley Grove This has been
passed to the Council Lifford Lane Depot and hopefully now resolved.
2. Allen's Croft Road/Dawberry Fields Road, new play area
development. Unsafe for children at the moment. ASB in an evening. Skate area flooded
recently with the bad weather A meeting is to take place between police, youth services,
landscape architects and environmental wardens. Police are carrying out extra patrols in
the area. A number of local teenagers have recently signed up to acceptable behaviour
contracts agreeing not to throw stones or cause grafitti. Three children have been given
bail conditions not to go to the park following an incident. PCSO Stor is arranging for
talks at Allens Croft and Stirchley Schools from the Fire Service.
3. Livingstone Road/St Patricks Close, ASB, underage drinking
and smoking, most evenings from 7pm onwards Extra patrols have taken place and one arrest
made for a public order offence. The team will continue to pay attention.
4. Featherstone Road/Westminster Drive near to the Scope house
inconsiderate parking in the day Officers have patrolled this area but no offences have
been seen. The team will continue to pay attention
5. Harton Way, mattresses dumped outside a property This has
been reported to the council and hopefully now removed.
6. Drug dealing in Linley Grove This is an ongoing operation no
update as yet

Stirchley:
New
Priorities:
1. Parking on Dog Pool Lane, specifically an abandoned white van near the crossing
and vehicles using the Highbury Public House.
2. Inconsiderate parking and litter in Newlands Road.
3. Fly Tipping at Ten Acres Works
Previous Priorities:
1.The Worthings onto FordhouseLane, cars often parked
dangerously over the corners of the road and on the pavement.
Officers have paid attention to this area but no offences have
been seen. Vehicles are sometimes parked on the corner but are not obstructing the
junction or the pavement.
2. Tree on corner of The Worthings needs cutting back
This has been reported to the council and
hopefully now resolved.
3. Young people congregating outside Hazelwell PH / Vicarage
Road
The police team are continuing to pay attention to this area. We
will be taking part in a bottlewatch scheme in the next few weeks. This
involves working with local off licences to attempt to identify where alcohol is being
bought which ends up being drunk in parks etc.
4. Counterfeit currency being used at shops Vicarage Road
We have not had any significant increase in counterfeit currency
in the Kings Heath / Stirchley area but will continue to alert shop keepers if a spate of
this occurs.
5. Bournville Bridge, flooding during recent bad weather
The Councillors and Stirchley Forum are working together to
attempt to deal with the problems suffered by many Stirchley residents during heavy
rainfall. The River Rea has been cleared of debris which may cause blockages and lead to
flooding and known blocked drains are being reported for urgent attention.
